Stash was formed in late 2001 with the aim of capturing the excitement and spirit of some of the greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll bands of the ’60s and ’70s. The first recording was of The Faces’ Stay with me. After extensive gigging in the South of England, the band decided to work on its own material – recording in 2002 the debut album Six of the Best. Press coverage was favourable, though the NME named them “…four of the worst dressed men in Brighton” – a claim strongly disputed by the band to this day!
“Our purpose from the very beginning has been to bring to a live audience a genuine and unadulterated Rock ‘n’ Roll experience… Hope to see you at a gig soon!”
